Here’s the problem…

When you post your messages to Twitter, no matter which of the
popular applications you use, did you realise that you’re giving
away valuable real estate and backlinks to someone else?

If you use TweetDeck, Seesmic, Hootsuite, or virtually any other
application, go check your Twitter feed now and you’ll see what I
mean. Every single tweet you post on YOUR page has THEIR name on
it, plus a link back to THEIR website.

So, every time you tweet, you’re advertising THEM!

And, until now, there wasn’t a darn thing you could do about it.

All it takes is 5 minutes and then you’ll be able to:

[2] Insert a link back to your own website.

[3] Show the world that you mean business!

A new application that I have been using called Market Me Tweets  was  in talks with Twitter about the branding mechanism of Market Me Tweet.  Well… I  have some great news. Branding has been APPROVED!!

If you are new to Market Me Tweet and never heard of branding, you’ll really enjoy it. It allows the tweets to say “from your website” instead of “From the name of the application you are using”.

A quick note about brands. The software gives you the function to be able to brand, but Twitter has the ultimate say. If they feel the brand you chose breaks any twitter terms and conditions they will not let you register it. Likewise, if your account has ever been flagged in the past for abuse, well that could be another reason you may not be able to brand.

Also , Market Me Tweet  got the “inside scoop” from twitter. They are switching all apps over to OAuth, and MMT is  one of the ONLY marketing apps right now that complies with their rules. Essentially, your money has been well spent on an app that is going to REMAIN active after the switch! Remember, the way the app functions now is COMPLETELY approved by twitter and this is going to be the ONLY way to use marketing functionality once the big switch to OAUTH happens for all apps very soon.
